THEREFORE I AM SIGNS TO EQUAL VISION RECORDS SET TO RECORD LATER THIS YEAR DEBUT FULL LENGTH SET FOR SPRING 2009 RELEASE
Equal Vision Records is proud to announce the latest addition to their roster: Boston, MA’s THEREFORE I AM. The five-piece is set to record their debut full length later this year at Strangeways Recording studio in Providence, RI with producer and ex-Hot Rod Circuit drummer Michael Poorman (Piebald, Tsunami Bomb, Paulson) for a Spring 2009 release. Poorman also produced the band’s 2007 EP, Escape.
Since THEREFORE I AM’s formation in 2004, they’ve self-released 3 EP’s and toured the U.S. many times over with the likes of Vanna, Endwell, The Dear Hunter, and The Receiving End Of Sirens. The band – Alex Correia (Vocals), Brian Marquis (Guitar/Vocals), Travis Alexander (Guitar), James Creighton (Bass), and Chris Fernandes (Drums) – plan to get back on the road once they are finished recording, tentatively in February ‘09.??About their decision to sign with Equal Vision, Marquis explains, “EVR’s past and current roster boasts bands that have fought the same battles that we face today being thrown between many different genres. Growing up with many of those bands and seeing their success, and more importantly their impact, in underground and popular music is what gives us the reassurance that we’re working with the right team.”
The band has prepared a video announcing the signing at AbsolutePunk and can be viewed here
