UH HUH HER ANNOUNCE HEADLINING TOUR DATES IN SUPPORT OF ‘COMMON REACTION’ CD ON NETTWERK

DEBUT ALBUM CHARTS AT # 9 ON BILLBOARD’S HEATSEEKERS

UH HUH HER’s debut album COMMON REACTION (Nettwerk)-hailed early on by the Los Angeles Times as “an electro-pop feast characterized by layers of overlapping vocals” (5/29/08)–has entered Billboard’s Heatseekers chart (8/30/08) at #9 upon its release August 19. The album is an exciting and seamless modern rock disc that captivates the listener from the opening notes of its pulsing debut single “Not A Love Song”-the video for which world premiered in early August on mtvU and LOGO networks–and effortlessly charms its way through to the evocative piano-touched finale “Dreamer.” These songs and more will be performed on UH HUH HER’s national headlining tour this fall.

Kicking off October 17 in Solana Beach, CA, UH HUH HER’s CAMILA GREY (lead vocal/keys/synth/guitars/programmed drums) and LEISHA HAILEY (vocals/synth) will be joined by drummer Josh Kane for a 15-date tour across the U.S. with three dates in Canada. The trek will bring them to The Roxy in Boston, the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in NYC, Wonder Ballroom in Portland, OR and the Avalon in Los Angeles, among other cities.

Produced by Al Clay (Pixies, Blur, Pink) along with Camila Grey, COMMON REACTION is continuing to build critical momentum. “As if born from the soundtrack of as-yet-unreleased popular movie, Uh Huh Her’s debut album, Common Reaction, has all the necessary components to become big…” wrote Linnea Covington of NYPress.com (8/27/08), while David Bond of Big Shot magazine in the fall issue stated, “…the energy Uh Huh Her capture on their debut is all their own. ‘Not A Love Song’ is an explosive opener, with an addictive chorus of ethereal melodies and a drum beat that demands movement. The electricity continues on, especially on ‘Wait Another Day,’ ‘Covered,’ and ‘So Long…Uh Huh Her do a fine job of balancing their elements and make each song like in taste, but not boring.”
