Mexican rockers KINKY are set to release their fourth studio album BARRACUDA (Kin-Kon/Nettwerk) in February of 2009, with an early digital release on September 30, 2008. Produced by Kinky with some co-production from Money Mark (Beastie Boys) and Chico Sonido, Barracudacaptures the intoxicating energy that the quintet infuses into every live show.

The first single, “Hasta Quemarnos,” (co-produced by Chico Sonido) premieres today on MySpace Latino (latino.myspace.com) Home page and Music Page, followed by a full exclusive album premiere on “The Leak” on MTVtr3s.com on September 23.

Kinky, who have toured with the likes of The Flaming Lips, Shakira, Cake and De La Soul, have also just been added to the MTV Tr3s “Tr3s Pass” tour with headliners Calle 13 (tour dates below). This announcement comes on the heels of Kinky doing an exclusive performance at the first ever “MTV Tr3s Fashionista,” a televised event that brought together the perfect mix of high fashion and hot music.

The band will also do a North American tour around the February release date (tour dates to follow).
