GRIFFIN HOUSE ANNOUNCES EARLY 2009 HEADLINING TOUR

**NEW MUSIC VIDEO** FOR FAN FAVORITE SONG “THE GUY THAT SAYS GOODBYE” FROM LATEST ALBUM FLYING UPSIDE DOWN

Up and coming singer/songwriter GRIFFIN HOUSE has announced a 6-week headlining tour staring January 15 in Boulder, CO. House, who released his sophomore album FLYING UPSIDE DOWN earlier this year, appeared on “etown” for the first time on November 24 alongside Sarah McLachlan and is currently on a Christmas themed tour as part of the acclaimed Nashville pop/rock collective Ten out of Tenn.

Last week, House released a new video for “The Guys That Says Goodbye,” a track from Flying Upside Down that gained noticeable attention during his recent run of sellout U.S. tour dates. His live performance of the song’s rhythmic chorus and heartfelt lyrics had audiences spontaneously and enthusiastically singing along (and many ladies swooning!). “The Guy That Says Goodbye” also caught the attention of late night TV; House performed it on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson a few months back.

House called the recording of Flying Upside Down a “dream come true” due to backing musicians put together by producer Jeff Trott (Sheryl Crow), which included bass player Justin Mendal-Johnson (Beck), Benmont Tench and Mike Campbell (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers) and Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek). In addition to “The Guy That Says Goodbye,” Flying Upside Down includes songs about the memories of Griffin’s beloved World War II-veteran grandfather in the war-themed “It’s Happening Again,” and a fleeting snapshot of the time he spent trying to convince his future fiancée to kiss him for the first time (“Let Me In”).

From CBS Sunday Morning to the New York Times to the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson to USA Today, House has impressed critics and audiences alike. He has also toured with the likes of Josh Ritter, Richard Thompson, Rhett Miller and John Mellencamp amongst others. Check out his 2009 headlining tour dates below.
