Chester French Selected as Zune’s May Ignition Artist
Indie Pop band Chester French have been named Microsoft’s Zune Ignition artist for the month of May. As part of the Ignition program, Chester French will release a series of exclusive features on Zune Marketplace, Zune.net, MSN and Xbox LIVE. The exclusive features include a free track on the Zune Marketplace beginning May 5, a Chester French playlist starting May 12, and editorial album “Breakdown” starting May 19, as well as exclusive video promotion of “She Loves Everybody” Live & Acoustic on the Marketplace, and an exclusive video for “The Jimmy Choos (Live & Acoustic)” available on MSN and Xbox.

Chester French’s debut album Love The Future was released April 21, 2009 on Star Trak/Interscope Records. In the same month, the band also released a mixtape titled “Jacques Jams, Vol 1: Endurance” recorded by club DJ Clinton Sparks. The band has toured supporting N.E.R.D., Matisyahu, and Lady GaGa and have collaborated on remixes with artists including The Neptunes, Steve Aoki, and El-P.
Chester French are Maxwell Drummey and D.A. Wallach who met as college students at Harvard University and formed in the fall of 2003. The band released their fist EP Chester French’s First Love after winning a battle of the bands contest. The band eventually made a deal with Pharrell William’s Star Track label, an imprint of Interscope.
