NUMERO GROUP TO RELEASE PISCES FULL LENGTH, A LOVELY SIGHT

The Numero Group takes a break from their stellar compilations to release a collection of tracks by Rockford, Illinois based psych-rockers, Pisces. Formed in the late 60’s in Rockford (a small city about 85 miles outside of Chicago whose most notable feature might be that it’s 85 miles outside of Chicago), the group consisted of two long-time friends and a cadre of players. The core duo only released a few tunes on small imprints, but the Numero Group did what they do best: they dug into the past and pulled out a gem of an album, a stunning collection of tracks that range from the ethereally spooky to the inimitably catchy. From Beatles-esque pop to sultry, wispy hail-mary’s, this album is an intriguing glimpse into the vision of two young hopefuls in Everywhere, America at a turning point in American history.
