GRAND OLE PARTY SET TO TOUR WITH YEAH YEAH YEAH’S NEW ALBUM TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON
We are pleased to announce that San Diego-based trio Grand Ole Party have been handpicked to open a string of dates on the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s U.S. tour. Grand Ole Party have just completed recording their as-yet-titled album for a late fall release and the buzz is on. The forthcoming record is produced by Ben H. Allen (Animal Collective, Gnarls Barkley) at Sweet Tea studios in Oxford, Mississippi.
Grand Ole Party’s last album, Humanimals, won raves from the critics and fans alike. Spin Magazine said of them “ This stomping blues-rock trio Soars,” while The Fader raved, “Out of the ether, drummer Kristin Gundred’s voice tears through the midnight soundscape – grabbing hands and never letting go.”
Grand Ole Party also spent the last few years on the road, touring with artists such as Rilo Kiley, Vampire Weekend, Spiritualized, Fiery Furnace, Black Keys and The Black Lips among others. The band also landed spots on mega-festivals Bonaroo and Coachella.
Stay tuned for a full reveal on details of the Grand Ole Party album.
