JET TAPS DJ LYNNWOOD TO REMIX “K.I.A.” ON UPCOMING ATLANTIC RELEASE. LYNNWOOD’S ‘COMBAT REMIX’ YEARNS FOR THE DANCEFLOOR

LOS ANGELES (May 27th, 2009) – DJ/REMIXER/Producer DJ LYNNWOOD ratchets up his reputation as one of the industry’s most in demand remixers with his spin on the single “K.I.A.” (DJ Lynnwood’s Combat Remix) for rock band JET. Commissioned by Atlantic Records to remix the track for the forthcoming artist album, Shaka Rock, LYNNWOOD dove head first into the opportunity and put his mark on the much anticipated release.

LYNNWOOD stripped the tune to its core and constructed a stylized remix that pays homage to the ripping vocals of the original track yet resonates with an edgy, ferocious snarl and the unmistakable technical prowess that is the crux of LYNNWOOD’s cult status.

The remix succeeds in allowing Jet’s original vocals the room to breathe, each lyric hinting at something more substantial lurking beneath its shiny surface. While LYNNWOOD’s Combat Remix is true to the original recording’s unabashed sense of irony, he simultaneously dials up an entirely groovy, electrifying dimension to the track and places it squarely at home on a packed dancefloor: Thunderous guitars give way to searing synthesizers and clamorous drums yield to an icy electronic percussion. The original version of “K.I.A.” will officially be released on the album, Shaka Rock, on August 25th, 2009, and it is available on the band’s official website http://jettheband.ning.com. It became the fifth most-added song to radio in Australia.

LYNNWOOD conceived and launched the genesis for a nationally syndicated radio show, Interference: The Sound Of The International Underground, drawing 1 million listeners on FM radio. He is currently a touring DJ and produces original music. LYNNWOOD is also the label chief of his own Feedback Digital imprint, which has several bangers scheduled for release in 2009.
