The Warlocks Announce US Headlining Tour in Support of New Album, The Mirror Explodes, Out Now on Tee Pee Records!

For five albums, The Warlocks have lived between and beyond the minutes and hours of time. Coming out of the late 90s neo-psychedelic scene that helped produce bands like Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Warlocks records play like soundtracks to fuzz-freaked, bacchanalian stomps, pre-dawn city prowls, sleeping late with new crushes, and the elation and exhaustion that washes in and recede deep into the wee hours. – The Tripwire

If you listen to The Mirror Explodes as a one seamless, drug-fueled track, you will find The Warlocks to be experts in crafting emotion and drama, complete with incessant guitar fuzz and Bobby Hecksher’s enticing Thom Yorke-like vocals.. – URB

This week, in celebration of their new album, The Mirror Explodes, (out now on Tee Pee Records), in addition to the band’s monumental ten year anniversary, LA-based psychedelic rock masters THE WARLOCKS, have just announced a monstrous headlining US tour, taking them from coast-to-coast and back again.

The band, who recently premiered their creepily beautiful video for new song Red Camera, have drawn comparisons to psychedelic mainstays My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Spiritualized and more for their brand of dark and seemingly drug-induced style of shoe-gaze rock, and are excited to take their fifth album in ten years on the road to share with their massive cult-fanbase.

* The Mirror Explodes was produced and recorded by Rod Cervera (Weezer, The Rentals) at Clear Lake Studios, Mastered by JJ Golden at Golden Mastering. Watch the video for “Red Camera” here!

Since their inception, Hecksher’s Warlocks have released five albums of very strong, cataclysmic psych-rock, and “Red Camera,” from their newest one, The Mirror Explodes, extends the trip further. After building on python-ish drones and tambourines hits for the better part of four minutes, the band really hit their stride in the closing moments, when what seems like the trillionth guitar covers everything in inches of beastly drone. – RCRDLBL.com
