Rational Geographic Vol II
Awesome New Republic is the best band in Miami. They’re fast proving themselves to be one of the most compelling and enjoyable bands anywhere. The former is the judgment of Miami’s own New Times, who recently anointed ANR “Best Band” in their annual “Best Of” issue. They’ll be working on demonstrating the latter this month with a nationwide tour, which kicked off in LA last night, and their new EP, ‘Rational Geographic Vol. II’, which is due out July 21st via Honor Roll Music.
Equally at home among the PBR- and BPM-obsessed, ANR played Dim Mak’s weekly party last night, Tuesday, 6/16, and continues tonight (6/17) at the packed, all-night dance party at Boardner’s. It’s a natural fit for ANR, who make infinitely danceable, indie-flavored rock. ‘Rational Geographic Vol. II’ is the band’s second EP this year, and part of a series of three which will culminate in a full-length album this fall.
