FRED RETURNS TO CANADIAN SOIL! Will Launch New Single “SKYSCRAPERS” In July!
“…there’s no resisting this stuff unless you are tone-deaf! Blissed out…down and out funky…FRED we love you! – NME
“Fred are a five piece from Cork City, Ireland, who take the anguish and pain out of rock’n'roll, opting instead to just be…good!”Like Sly & The Family Stone in a swordfight with the Flaming Lips” – The Irish Times
It’s becoming a quarterly event as Irish hitmakers FRED yet again touch down on Canadian soil, this time deciding to explore the east coast too! A mini tour this July is book-ended by the Atlantic Jazz Festival in Halifax on July 18 and the Hillside Music Festival in Guelph on July 24 and 26 (that’s right two plays at Hillside!)
Persistent Canadian touring which has so far included appearances during NXNE ‘08, Toronto Indie Fest and CMW have garnered the band critic’s choice ‘picks’ and media applause…and has increased their cheerleading fan base!
The first week of July also sees Sparks Music launch FRED’s new single ‘Skyscrapers’ to Canadian pop radio. The track is from the band’s GO GOD GO CD which was launched in Canada this past spring.
