The Fire and Reason Perform Tonight (7/16) 9PM At The Bowery Ballroom
Still cooling off from their big win, as the only unsigned band nominated for this year’s BRINK OF FAME award, (beating out Lykke Li, Morningwood, and Ladyhawke) on Logo TV’s NewNowNext Awards on June 13, The Fire and Reason are set to play a very special performance tonight at the Bowery Ballroom with BLVD, joined by special guest DJ’s Alexander Technique and Michele Bass.
Forming less then three years ago, The Fire and Reason features Brazil’s Bella Saona and Ecuador’s Steve Narvaez who joined forces to create some of the dirtiest rock, baille-funk electro-pop dance music blasting out of New York City. Their first hint of success came with the popular remix of hit song “NME,” featuring a cool remix by trendy Parisian DJ TOXIC AVENGER. Well known for their syncopated, complex Afro-Cuban electro beats, The Fire and Reason make no secret of their multi-cultural appeal, always proud to play to their Latin roots whether they are singing in English, Spanish or Portugese.
With a recent EP release “Do It Again” released on the buzzworthy new label “DJ’s ARE NOT ROCKSTARS” (DANR) co-founded by NYC electro-music Svengalis Larry Tee and Alexander Technique, things have definitely started to heat up for The Fire and Reason.
