Metal Couture, an edgy metal-inspired clothing line, first began twisting together a love of high fashion and heavy music in 2000 by designing custom-cut band T-shirts for a variety of acts on the local NYC metal scene. The inspiration for the men’s line came when Lead Luminous (lead singer of NYC’s The Burn & Cry) expressed interest in bringing a metal edge to his golf attire after playing a round with Testament’s Chuck Billy. Designing for the traditionally conservative venue of golfing, and others like it, sparked the idea of bringing a heavy metal fashion edge into these uncharted realms of everyday society. Metal Couture also carries women’s dresses, tanks & tees as well as children’s and dog apparel. Which are being sold at number of boutiques worldwide.
