SAM BRADLEY BRITISH-CANADIAN SINGER/SONGWRITER KICKS OFF NORTH AMERICAN FALL TOUR WITH BROOKE FRASER NOVEMBER 9 IN HOUSTON, TX

NEW EP ‘ZUNI’ OUT DIGITALLY NOVEMBER 9,
PRINT EP AVAILABLE EXCLUSIVELY AT TOUR STOPS

SAM BRADLEY meshes soul, folk and rock on his new EP ZUNI, out digitally November 9. The British-Canadian singer/songwriter will release the digital EP in conjunction with the launch of his 19-date North American tour with New Zealand singer Brooke Fraser. Many dates on the upcoming tour have sold out several weeks in advance, including shows in New York, Nashville and Boston. Bradley’s distinct knack for writing an unforgettable song can be found throughout the EP which features five new songs and remastered versions of tracks “Passport,” “It Begins” and “Sea Blue,” which were originally found of Bradley’s 2009 self-titled debut EP. An exclusive print version of the eight-song EP will also be available at tour stops.

The five new songs were recorded at the Armory in Vancouver and Dream Catcher Studio in Toronto with producer Gavin Brown–the Juno Award-winning “Producer of the Year” for his work with Billy Talent and Three Days Grace. Brown also co-produced Metric’s most recent album. Sam says: “With these songs, Gavin really helped me find a balance between what was in my head and what came out of the speakers… I am extremely proud.” Regarding the live show vs. recording, he teases, “It’s very important that the live show be raw and honest. Capturing the honesty in the studio was done by getting drunk and not eating.”

Bradley’s live performances are a mixture of charming anecdotes and a colorful array of both potent originality and diversity. He is excited to get back on the road for the month-long stretch, stating: “I don’t usually write songs for myself. I write them to be heard and experienced. Seeing the audience reaction to the new music is something I greatly look forward to.” This will be Sam’s first US tour since the two-month stretch following the August 2009 release of his debut EP.

Sam was born in London and educated everywhere from Hong Kong to Nashville. He left school at sixteen and the idea of being a singer, songwriter and artist was born. Part of his inspiration to make music his full-time passion came from observing close friend Marcus Foster at work, and another part came from performing with his mother, Canadian folk musician Lee Lindsey. He started by recording music at home and performing at open mic nights but in 2008, Bradley’s anonymity was quickly revoked. His song “Too Far Gone” was included in the first Twilight film as a gentle compliment to the movie’s dinner scene. Co-written by the film’s lead actor Robert Pattinson, the track made its way onto the film’s soundtrack via Pattinson’s version entitled “Never Think.” It provided the jumping off point to begin production on Sam’s first formal release. With the release of Zuni, Sam notes “I definitely feel pressure now that I have an attentive audience.”
