PERFORMANCE FOR IFC AT SXSW 2011 AND FEATURED ON NPR’s WEEKEND ALL THINGS CONSIDERED

Ivan & Alyosha are thrilled to announce April and May tour dates with Aimee Mann, John Vanderslice and Brandi Carlile. The dates follow a successful national tour throughout February and March that saw the band appear at SXSW, where they played ten shows in quick succession, including a blissful acoustic performance for IFC. Prior to their appearance at SXSW, Ivan & Alyosha and their new EP Fathers Be Kind were featured on NPR’s Weekend All Things Considered. NPR praised Fathers Be Kind as sounding “like something out of the lost archives of George Harrison.” Listen Here

With interest growing in Ivan & Alyosha the group recently reached the top 100 on the iTunes download charts. Since the EP’s release in February the band have gained recognition from American Songwriter, Alarm, and Brooklyn Vegan, have been featured as a band “On The Verge” in Relix Magazine, and have performed for Daytrotter. Ivan & Alyosha look forward to continuing their journey in 2011 and are excited and honored to be hitting the road with John Vanderslice and Aimee Mann in April following the conclusion of a west coast run this coming week that includes multiple shows in the Los Angeles and San Francisco Bay Area. In May they play dates with Brandi Carlile.
