Spanish/UK duo Amor de Días, which consists of Alasdair MacLean, front man for The Clientele, and Lupe Núñez-Fernández of indie-pop duo Pipas, have debuted their video for “Late Mornings” off of their forthcoming release Street of the Love of Days, out next week on Merge Records. The stop-motion clip was animated by LA-based artist Xana Kudrjavcev-DeMilner, with whom Núñez-Fernández attended undergrad and collaborated in the past on video-art installations. Inspired by the image of waking up to an estranged reality, Spanish lyrics play with ideas of the sea, waves, and of rising and falling tides. Xana uses found objects and images to create playful vignettes that interact like dreamy streams of consciousness. The found objects move as gliding tessellations to the soft rhythm of Lupe’s voice.

Amor de Días will embark on a national tour with friends Damon & Naomi. Be sure to catch them in a town near you as they share their stories through beautiful chamber-pop and Spanish guitars.
