THE BELLE BRIGADE TO PERFORM AT KCRW’S HOLIDAY BENEFIT SHOW “ARE FRIENDS ECLECTIC?” ON DECEMBER 3RD CRITICALLY HERALDED SIBLING-FRONTED BAND HITS THE ROAD IN OCTOBER WITH GROUPLOVE, FOLLOWED BY DATES WITH BLITZEN TRAPPER AND DAWES

After wrapping a fall tour with Grouplove, followed by dates with Blitzen Trapper and Dawes, Los Angeles’ very own The Belle Brigade will perform at KCRW’s Are Friends Eclectic? benefit concert on December 3rd at the Orpheum Theatre, 842 S. Broadway, in Los Angeles. The event, which raises money to support LA public radio station KCRW (89.9FM and KCRW.com), was announced by host Jason Bentley during this morning’s broadcast of Morning Becomes Eclectic. Also on the bill are Iron & Wine, Anna Calvi, Zee Avi, and The Secret Sisters.

KCRW has been a huge supporter of The Belle Brigade, which is fronted by siblings Barbara and Ethan Gruska, having hosted a preview of their self-titled debut album and inviting the band to perform a live session on Morning Becomes Eclectic the day the album was released by Warner Bros. Records in April.

Tickets for this all-ages show go on sale to KCRW members first on Tuesday, October 4 at 10 a.m. on KCRW.com. Tickets become available to the general public beginning Tuesday, October 11 at 10 a.m.

Meanwhile, The Belle Brigade are gearing up to launch their fall tour, which begins October 5th with Grouplove in Minneapolis. Please see below for all upcoming dates. The band recently wowed crowds at the Austin City Limits Festival. Paste wrote that “‘Fresh’ is a great description of The Belle Brigade whose harmonies and happy personas lifted a jubilant crowd, especially with their song Loser,” while The Austin American-Statesman noted that “the pair’s sunny harmonies and guitar-driven hooks drew listeners from across the western half of Zilker Park.”
