BLEACHED ANNOUNCE UK & EU TOUR DATES

Back to basics. Take your time. Guitars and golden noise. Meet Bleached, two sisters from LA creating rough-hewed, high-collared, melodic Rock & Roll. Formerly part of Mika Miko, Jessica and Jennifer Clavin were best known for their freewheeling ’77 punk and riot grrl lawlessness. In Bleached, they share the same slant towards the hard-edged, but instead veer towards a more vintage ensemble of Ramones bubble-gum, Merle Haggard country and early Fleetwood Mac.

In June 2011, Bleached released their sold-out Carter 7” on San Diego’s Art Fag Recordings, home to the first Best Coast, Dum Dum Girls and Crocodiles records. Earlier last year, they put out their first “Francis” 7” on Ooga Booga, a Los Angeles art, book and fashion boutique imprint. This past December 2011, Bleached released their Searching Through The Past 7” on Suicide Squeeze Records which was met with much acclaim. The B-Side “Electric Chair” was named Best New Track on Pitchfork.

Bleached toured the US with Smith Westerns and Veronica Falls earlier this year and played over a dozen shows at SXSW, making numerous “Artists to Watch” lists for the festival from LA Weekly and Spin to name a few. Now the sisters are headed to the UK & EU, playing a string of shows in May. Jennifer and Jessica will then return to Los Angeles to record their much anticipated full length record.
