Los Angeles , CA — Soled Out Los Angeles presents a celebration of Hip Hop with EPMD, U-N-I and DJ Journey Friday, July 25th at Crash Mansion L.A. Mr. Choc, of the world famous BeatJunkies, is slated to host this eclectic mix of new and old school. Special guests, M.O.P., will also be taking the stage to perform with the colorful emcees.
After battling it out for a chance to perform at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards last night at The Roxy Theatre, U-N-I is staying focused with their sophomore project, A Love Supreme. Collaborating with producer Ro Blvd. , Thurz and Y-O hope to turn some industry heads with their second street album. With heavy rotation on MTV2 and MTVu, U-N-I’s video for “Beautiful Day” is stapled a fan favorite. “Soul Hop”, featured as the Sucker Free Drop during Sucker Free Week on MTV2, has a music video in the works directed by Tomas Whitmore. With an upcoming show with The Clipse in New York , the Inglewood natives are definitely taking West Coast Hip Hop to a new level.
