Flying Baboon Records front man Tre Hardson releases music video for Ay Yo My Man featuring Fat Lip.
Tre aka Slim Kid and Fat Lip are half of the iconic hip-hop group The Pharcyde. The Pharcyde are currently on their first appearances in over a decade, headlining as special guest on the Rock The Bells tour with Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, De La Soul and many more. The “Ay Yo My Man” video is featured on the main stage in between performances during this 12 city, 50,000 person per venue tour this summer!!
This music video directed by Little Red Robot features a cool look of using all neon tube art designs assembled in 3D then composited into the live-action interacting with Tre and Fat Lip. The music video was shot all in HD in Los Angeles with heavy post production carried out in LRR’s San Fransisco and London studios involving custom developed neon shaders in Maya and fully composited in HD in Nuke, all on a tight schedule and budget. This video has a nice summertime feel with the night life look of neon colors and the good vibe sounds of “Ay Yo My Man.”

Also released today is Little Red Robot’s refresh of their brand identity including a new website and new mascot. The new Little Red Robot features a softer side of LRR’s design tendencies with a new mascot taking the center stage. A new approach to the same little bot, this time made of yarn and buttons. He’s a crafty lil’ guy and willing to work hard on your projects. LRR Creative Director’s Seth Shukovsky and Hasraf “HaZ” Dulull worked with San Francisco based interactive studio Protrigga to create a innovative website showcasing their best work. The experience utilizes a custom developed media player designed by LRR and engineered by Protrigga. You’ll notice a scrolling work area featuring clips, loaded with slide-shows and insider details of each project.
