TRAIN WRECK ALERT! CELEBRITY MELTDOWNS GET RANKED ON MTV THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16TH AT 10PM ET/PT
Just when celebs think the world has forgotten their most dramatic headline worthy moments, MTV brings them back to the spotlight with the premiere of “Celebrity Meltdowns: Ranked” on Thursday, October 16th beginning at 10:00PM ET/PT. Hosted by Ryan Stout (“A Shot at Love: The Hangover”), this unique countdown special hands out top honors to the celeb with the most outrageous pause from reality.
In this second installment of countdown series “MTV Ranked,” “Celebrity Meltdowns” features moments ranging from the simply embarrassing like a slip and fall of a super-star diva to the infamous TRL appearance when we learned that pop icons can melt quicker than ice cream! We can all remember when an over-amorous fan tried to get too close to Akon, but was tossed from the stage, or when Ellen broke down on-air after her precious pup was taken from her hairstylist. Moments like these have gone down in tabloid infamy, but viewers will find out which meltdowns are truly the most gossip worthy.
“MTV Ranked” is a series that puts a new spin on countdown specials with a ratings system as only MTV could develop – assigning point values based on the details involved until one bust takes the top spot and is formally “Ranked.” “Celebrity Meltdown” is the second episode in the “Ranked” series. It follows Celebrity Busts: Ranked” and precedes “Celebrity Bromances: Ranked” and “Crap Tattoos: Ranked.”
“Celebrity Meltdown: MTV Ranked” is executive produced by Dave Sirulnick, Tony DiBari, Tim Healy, and Nancy McDonald for MTV. Gina Glickman also serves as Executive Producer for the series.
