Statement regarding the 2009 Virgin Festival in Burnaby, B.C.

VIRGIN FESTIVAL B.C.

As the safety of all festival-goers and artists is the first priority for Virgin Festival, day one was unfortunately cut short due to severe thunder and lightning around the Burnaby and Deer Lake Park area this evening. The announcement was made just before The Roots were due to go on stage.

Now for the good news… Virgin Festival will be organizing a makeup show with The Roots that day one ticket holders will be able to access for free. Festival-goers with a ticket for day one should hold onto their tickets and stay tuned for details which will be announced shortly on virginfestival.ca.

As an added bonus, day one ticket holders are also invited to use their tickets to join the party on day two of Virgin Festival. Virgin Festival looks forward to rockin’ out with all festival-goers at Deer Lake Park for day two of the Festival on July 26, 2009.
