VIRGIN FESTIVAL RETURNS TO B.C. WITH A SIZZLE!

HOT WEATHER, HOT MUSIC, HOT FANS & HOT EXPERIENCES CREATE ONE HOT FESTIVAL!

Virgin Festival returned to B.C. this weekend with a sizzle! 15,000 super hot fans, a sizzling line up, a ton of cool experiences and near record breaking summer temperatures made Deer Lake Park the hippest and hottest place to be this weekend!

“What a weekend! West Coasters got into the party-mood right from the word ‘go’ at Deer Lake Park!” says Andrew Bridge, director of Virgin Festival Canada. “Thousands of fans came out for non-stop fun, so a huge thank you to everyone for coming and making Virgin Festival’s return to B.C. superhot!”

Festival highlights on day one included local faves The British Columbians opening the festival; K-OS pumping up the fans mid-afternoon; a few not-so-shy festival-goers getting their fave body part signed in the autograph tent by their fave band; two marriage proposals on the Virgin Mobile text to screen (Congrats, BTW); and of course the severe lightning storm that brought day one to a slightly early close.

Day two highlights included the early morning skies clearing to deliver a blistering hot day; bikini-clad girls mixing with hunky shirtless guys; De La Soul’s awesome hip-hop set; the dancing shrubs’ choreographed dance routines; three more text to screen marriage proposals (v.romantic B.C.!); Festival faves Metric rocking fans out; and the one and only Ben Harper and Relentless7 closing the festival. Oh, and let’s not forget the screaming hot temperatures!
