Summer is officially over, and what better way to kill off these sunnier months and the chillwave, glo-fi balearic whatever that’s gone with them than to turn to beautifully sad sounds of Traverse City’s SALEM. After a successful string of releases on Acephale, Merok, and Big Love the trio is back with their fourth release.
The A-Side – FROST – truly is the summer-killer with icy winds, frigid snare rolls and Heather’s haunting vocals. The flip is a John track – LEGEND – with signature screwed vocals and a hefty amount of menace. The band made a video for this one, and it can be found here:
