Ghostface Killah to Perform for MySpace Music’s “RELEASE” Concert Series in New York City on Wednesday, Sept. 30
MySpace Music makes its way back to the home of hip-hop to host a special performance by Staten Island’s own Ghostface Killah on Wednesday, September 30th at The Hiro Ballroom in New York, NY, as part of “THE RELEASE,” MySpace Music’s urban music concert series. This installment of “THE RELEASE” will celebrate the long-awaited September 29th release of his new album Ghostdini: The Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City and will also be hosted by Jasmine Solano and Cipha Sounds/Peter Rosenberg of Hot 97. Special musical guests will include DJ dB and Beatnick & K-Salaam. Tickets for the 21+ event can be obtained by sending an RSVP to hiphoptix@myspacemusic.com. Doors for the show will open at 9 p.m. and dress code will be strictly enforced.
Dubbed by the New York Times “the most lovable rapper in the world: a wounded warrior with raps to match his speeding heartbeat,” Def Jam artist – and Wu-Tang Clan ironman – Ghostdini (aka Ghostface Killah) returns under a new guise in 2009 as The Wizard of Poetry, his 6th Def Jam album (and 10th major label album), in which he attracts an A-list of duet partners including John Legend, Fabolous, Raheem DeVaughn, Lloyd, Estelle, and others. The new album will arrive in the physical and digital marketplace on September 29th and the first single from the new album is “Baby” featuring Raheem DeVaughn.
