ULTRA RECORDS RELEASES ROBBIE RIVERA’s CLOSER TO THE SUN STUDIO ALBUM, NOVEMBER 3 (NORTH AMERICA)
Internationally acclaimed, crowd-pleasing DJ/producer. ROBBIE RIVERA, releases his hotly anticipated full-length studio album, CLOSER TO THE SUN (Ultra Records) in North America on November 3, 2009. A master at crafting sultry sensations and rhythmic alchemy as the force behind the wildly popular JUICY parties, RIVERA’s dancefloor sensibilities never leave him, even when in the studio. CLOSER TO THE SUN features collaborations with FAST EDDIE, LAURA VANE, and MONICA BRAGATO (aka MOONY, DB BOULEVARD), among others, and the album exhibits RIVERA’s skills as a songwriter with the title track, “Closer To The Sun.”
“Closer To The Sun,” the album’s first single, and is a sundrenched, radio-friendly vocal tune with broad audience appeal. “Let Me Sip My Drink” featuring FAST EDDIE is a catchy, hip-house track that’s simply irresistible. Other dancefloor annihilators include, “Rock The Disco” with the signature RIVERA electro sound, the anthemic “We Live For The Music,” and the aptly titled banger, “6AM.” What surprises on CLOSER TO THE SUN is the presence of hooky tunes written with proper song construction, including, “Keep On Going,” the R&B infused “Your Door,” and the sentimental “You’ll Never Know.”
With another season as resident DJ of JUICY at Ibiza’s Privilege wrapped, RIVERA launches his CLOSER TO THE SUN North American Tour on October 30th in New York and hits all major markets – including a 10,000-person event at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in his hometown of San Juan, Puerto Rico – before culminating in a debauched New Year’s Eve event in Ft. Lauderdale.
