The last time Olivier Olivier and Nigel Diamond released an EP they knocked Kanye off the top of the Hypem chart. Now, they’re back. With friends.

“This is the start of a new west-coast era,” says Diamond, referencing the release of “RIPJDS remixed”, available April 5th 2011 and featuring Win Win, CFCF, Teen Daze, Dreamboat and Houses. East-coast dweller Olivier disagrees; “Let Diamond say what he wants. It’s pretty clear which coast prevailed.”

Bikini have never recorded an album together in the same city. Consequently, their online collaborations spark an internal rivalry that is key to the music they create. LA-based Diamond brings Dreamboat, Teen Daze and Houses into the mix. Olivier offered up CFCF, Win Win and prolific underground artist Nate Lowman for cover art. The limited 12” vinyl and digital download is available via the India Trading Company.

“American Mourning” was reworked by electronic heavyweights, Win Win. Montréal’s master of disco-noir, CFCF, somehow managed to twist and distort “R.I.P.” to within an inch of its life. And Vancouver dancefloor-purveyor, Teen Daze, injected his own brand of 80s house piano and careless optimism into enigmatic fan-favourite, “ACheerlaeder”.
