CHIDDY BANG ANNOUNCED AS HEADLINERS OF THE BAMBOOZLE ROAD SHOW TOUR

HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DEBUT ALBUM, BREAKFAST, DUE OUT THIS SUMMER

GROUP CELEBRATES MTV WOODIE AWARD WIN FOR BEST VIDEO

Hip hop electro duo Chiddy Bang has just been announced as the headliner for The Bamboozle Road Show powered by ArenaRap.com which will commence on May 4th in Boston. The tour will also feature Dev, Ninjasonik and special guest, Pusha T. The act is also scheduled to appear on all three days of The 2011 Bamboozle Festival in NJ alongside acts like Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Gaslight Anthem & A Day To Remember.

This year marks the fourth year of the well attended festival whose past headliners included Good Charlotte, All Time Low and many more. The tour announcement comes on the heels of their recent win of Best Video at the 2011 MTVu Woodie Awards which was voted by the fans. The breakthrough duo has sold one million units worldwide beat out notable artists such as Gorillaz, Black Keys and Vampire Weekend for the coveted award.

Of the tour, Chiddy says, “We can’t wait to headline the Bamboozle Roadshow. It’s our biggest tour yet so it kinda feels like our first in a way. I’m a huge fan of Pusha – and Dev and Ninjasonik are the homies so it should be a wild one.”

The tour is also a prelude to Chiddy Bang’s highly anticipated debut album, Breakfast, which is due out Summer 2011. The upcoming album, which has been called one of the “albums that matter most” by Spin Magazine, will feature mostly tracks produced by Xaphoon Jones, one half of the group with the clever rhymes fans have come to expect from emcee Chiddy. The duo wanted to keep the album pure and true to what they have been known for which is good music without the clutter of countless guest appearances; the album will feature 12 all new tracks.
Xaphoon explains the album name change (originally set to be called The Swelly Life) and the unconventional title, “The reason we re-named the album Breakfast is because “1.) We Eatin, 2.) Its the most important yet most neglected meal of the day, 3.) It’s the first course on our musical journey, and 4.) I can cook really fluffy eggs – double boil technique.”
