Doorly Announces North American Tour + April EP Release

DOORLY ANNOUNCES NORTH AMERICAN TOUR + APRIL EP RELEASE

Martin Doorly aka Doorly, a man whose productions and DJ sets refuse to be classified, will be touring the United States and Canada this spring supporting fellow Brit and Dubstep trail blazer, Rusko, on a 22-date theater-packing jaunt commencing at the Fox Theater in Oakland on April 14th and culminating May 14th at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. To kick the tour off in proper fashion, Doorly will be releasing the second EP, EP2, on his own aptly named Pigeonhole This! label on April 11th.

22 shows in 30 days might seem like a bit much for the average DJ, but this high energy, wildly intense one, two punch from Doorly and Rusko is anything but ordinary. Rockstars of the electronic music world, Doorly and Rusko have been turning heads across the industry, selling out shows and breaking musical barriers with bass-driven performances that have everyone from Britney Spears, who collaborated with Rusko, to Washington Post and BBC Radio paying close attention.

Rusko is renowned for his massive Dubstep sets, while Doorly serves as the perfect foil, pushing the party experience with the inclusion of nearly every genre under the electronic music umbrella, from yet-to-be released bombs to floor filling back-in-the-day classics. His immaculate mixing ability can fade a 140 BPM DnB track to your favorite Dr. Dre beat and then pitch that into a 4×4 clubland anthem.

As part of the tour Doorly will be debuting his brand new, AFRODIGISCRATCH Live set at the famed Avalon in Hollywood, backed by a Nero DJ set on the 22nd of April. This never before seen show will feature a Doorly masterclass in turntablism across 4 CDJ2000s and an EFX 1000.

On April 11th, just a few days prior to the tour’s embarkation, Doorly’s recently launched label, Pigeonhole This!, will be releasing EP2, which will feature 3 exclusive new tracks from Doorly, crossing techno, future garage and electro, and sure to be heard throughout the spring tour. The label will see its next release in June with another EP release from Doorly himself, as well as a Pigeonhole This! compilation album featuring exclusive tracks from up and comers out in July.

After departing from US shores Doorly this summer will be resuming his position as the Ibiza and Majorca Rocks resident as well as performing at some of Europe’s biggest festivals including Global Gathering, Electrocity, and Bestival. Doorly will be also launching a completely new, interactive website featuring tour and release information and exclusive content, and he’ll launch his own bi-weekly radio show in upcoming weeks. He’ll continue to run his two signature party nights ‘After Party’ and ‘Pigeon Hole This’ which between them have hosted the likes of Fatboy Slim, Erol Alkan, Swedish House Mafia, Skream & Benga, ToddlaT, 2ManyDJs and Pete Tong.
