DONATING A GENEROUS PORTION OF MERCH SALES TO JAPANESE RELIEF EFFORTS

Today, March 30th, Lyrics Born hits the road with Skins & Needles, the Bay Area duo comprised of DJ Zeph (Oakland Faders) and drummer Max MacVeety (Crown City Rockers), for the 2nd US leg of his rigorous AS U WERE 2011 World Tour. LB and crew start in Philadelphia and make their way down the east coast, rounding out the bottom half of the United States including North Carolina, Florida, New Orleans before making their way east to hit Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi and more. Not long after, LB and crew will hit Whistler, BC as part of the The TELUS World & Ski Snowboard Festival on 4/20 along with Dilated Peoples before heading back to the Bay Area with a show in Modesto, CA at the Fat Cat on April 22nd. Finally bringing it full circle, LB will be performing a very special tribute to James Brown and Curtis Mayfield at Yoshi’s in San Francisco on April 23rd.

20% of all merchandise sales profits on the tour will be donated to the Red Cross to help the people in Japan to aid with reconstruction efforts following the earthquake and tsunami that ravaged the area mere weeks ago. In addition, LB will be matching the total amount raised from merch sales out of his own pocket.
