SEBASTIAN ANNOUNCES “PRIMARY TOUR” AND REMIXES FEAT. M.I.A

FRENCH PRODUCER/DJ FOLLOWS UP DEBUT LP ON ED BANGER WITH LIVE DATES AND NEW SINGLE

Sebastian, the young prince of the Ed Banger regime, is bringing his rough-edged French electro to the States for a string of dates on both coasts. The man behind official remixes for Daft Punk, Klaxons, Cut Copy, The Rapture and most recently The Beastie Boys, dropped his debut full length on Ed Banger/Because Music/Big Beat/Atlantic just a few months ago (and will see a physical release this fall). Total explores the electro aesthetic to its navigable ends, epitomizing the sound on lead single “Embody” and now providing its loud counterpoint on the next single “C.T.F.O” which features M.I.A. Stateside audiences lucky enough to catch a rare glimpse of the French producer, who typically remains sequestered away in his Paris studio, will be privy to his unique character manifested in sound and cigarette smoke. No stranger to playing in Europe and Australia, Sebastian seldom crosses the Atlantic – audiences are likely to jump at the opportunity to catch him on one of these rare U.S. engagements (full listing of dates below).

In anticipation of the tour, Sebastian has tapped electro tastemakers from the future and decades past, soliciting versions of “C.T.F.O.” from ’80s pioneers DMX Krew as well as Nero, promising rising stars of the genre. DMX Krew’s is classic electro, torn from the recipe book they helped write with Kraftwerk and Afrika Bambataa, while Nero’s combines elements of dubstep with house music and bone-jarring low end. These remixes only further assert Sebastian’s life-long familiarity with music, nodding at his most immediate influences with his eyes firmly affixed on the horizon of EDM.
