Elvis Costello’s new album Secret, Profane & Sugarcane (Hear Music) has debuted this week at #13 on the Billboard 200, the musician’s highest album chart position since 1980’s Get Happy. The single “Complicated Shadows” is also top 15 on the Triple A chart and #2 on the non-commercial chart.

This great news comes in the midst of a high profile two week run. Last week Costello performed a secret show at a Manhattan pub and last night he started a tour with The Sugarcanes (players from the album), with a sold-out show at New York’s Beacon Theater.

He’s been profiled in Rolling Stone and the Wall St. Journal, and performed and been interviewed on the Today Show and The Late Show w/ David Letterman. Stay tuned for imminent slots on Nightline, NPR’s Weekend Edition Saturday and Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien (June 23) plus Austin City Limits in the fall.
