JEREMY MESSERSMITH ANNOUNCES JULY TOUR DATES “ORGAN DONOR” FEATURED ON AOL SPINNER’S MP3 OF THE DAY
“…one of the year’s sunniest and most endearing pop records.” – NPR
“A singer-songwriter from Minneapolis with an keen ear for 1960s chamber pop and folk, Jeremy Messersmith arrives to tout his new album, “The Reluctant Graveyard,” which evokes the Beach Boys, the Association, the Turtles, Simon Garfunkel and modern masters like Sufjan Stevens.” – Wall Street Journal
“Like his previous outings, but even better, the chamber-power-popster knows how to write a vintage sing-along.” – Some Velvet Blog, Bruce Warren WXPN
Minneapolis-based songwriter Jeremy Messersmith has announced new tour dates for July in support of his new album, The Reluctant Graveyard. Jeremy will return to the west coast on this leg of his North American tour, which has included dates with Frightened Rabbit, KaiserCartel and Telekinesis, as well as a sold out release show at Minneapolis’s historic Cedar Culture Center — a record number of ticket sales for the venue.
During a stop in Brooklyn at Littlefield, Jeremy was filmed giving a haunting and intimate performance of “A Girl, A Boy, A Graveyard” in the rain outside the venue with Minneapolis Culture Club — check it out here!
Jeremy’s music takes cues from ’60s Beach Boys, Beatles and Zombies-influenced chamber pop and classic pop. His music has been featured on NPR, MTV and “Ugly Betty” among others. Most recently, AOL Spinner chose his track “Organ Donor” as the “MP3 of the Day”.
