Unicycle Loves You Announces Fall Tour
Record Release Party set for Sept. 11th at Chicago’s Schubas
Free MP3 and video of “Justine”, off Mirror, Mirror (Highwheel Records)
“…You start thinking to yourself, ‘Wow– do these guys already have enough hooks to last a whole album?’ unaware of just how right you are.” -Pitchfork
“They take bits from various genres spanning over several decades and pack them all into an indie-pop cornucopia of tasty feel-good music riddled with insightful lyrics” -URB
Winning hearts with their brand of hazy surf rock and effervescent indie-pop invaded by alien bleeps, bloops and sci-fi synths, Unicycle Loves You is gearing up to take it on the road. Their live act has garnered rave reviews, earning the “Must Hear” moniker from Spin, Filter and VenusZine for their performances, and The NY Press noting,“as great as their record is, they were even more impressive live.” The tour kicks off on September 11th at Schubas in their home-base Chicago, celebrating the release of their much-anticipated sophomore release, Mirror, Mirror (Highwheel Records). The tour then takes ULY through the Midwest, Northeast and back again, playing alongside other indie darlings such as Best Coast and A Place To Bury Strangers.
Here is a free MP3 and what Sentimentalist Magazine calls a “bloody good” video for Mirror, Mirror’s “Justine” to hopefully tide you over until the album is out and they hit the road. Feel free to post and share.
Keep your ears out for more dates & venues coming soon!
