SAMUEL HITS THE ROAD WITH OK GO! PLUS CMJ PERFORMANCES “I HEART NY” SINGLE AVAILABLE NOW ON ITUNES (STARTIME INTERNATIONAL/COLUMBIA RECORDS)
It’s been a big year for NYC-based Startime International/Columbia artist Samuel, with the release of his first EP, ‘I Heart NY’. As he readies for even bigger things to come in 2011, Samuel will round out the year with two CMJ performances and select American dates with OK Go! this fall.
At the young age of 22, the irresistibly charming R&B crooner has crafted songs that are instantaneously infectious and worthy of the buzz they’re receiving throughout the blogosphere, including accolades from perhaps the most famous blogger of them all – Kanye West. Earlier this summer, Samuel released his debut EP, I Heart NY, and SPIN.com premiered the accompanying video, which has already seen over 525K views all without a full length album.
Staying close to his roots, Samuel is working closely with production duo, The Knocks, and recently released the ‘I Heart NY’ remix featuring Joell Ortiz that was widely well received in the hip-hop community and beyond.
Samuel will cut his teeth on the road this November, as he heads out on tour to support OK Go! and play the Popjustice and Neon Gold showcases during the CMJ Marathon. Expect to see much more of Samuel in 2011.
