OLIN & THE MOON TO PERFORM JANUARY RESIDENCY AT THE ECHO IN LOS ANGELES NEW ALBUM FOOTSTEPS OUT JANUARY 11TH

“Really proficient alt-country. Their set of soundtrack-ready songs flowed surprisingly well – lead singer David LaBrel sounds a bit like Soul Asylum’s Dave Pirner, but the songs echo a little more Neil Young.” – OC Weekly

“This album’s like a beer. Sometimes you cry in it; sometimes you raise your glass. While hardly straying from country formula, tugs at your heart like a prarie sunset.” – Buzz Bands

Spawning from the jagged, green, and snow crusted mountains of Sun Valley, Idaho meet soon-to-be alt country darlings Olin & The Moon . Consisting of singer/songwriter David LaBrel, lead guitarist (and brother of David) Travis LaBrel and drummer Marshall Vore (who doubles as the drummer for Ryan Adams), the band packed up and moved to Los Angeles where they completed their lineup with Brian McGinnus and Kyle Vicioso.

Set to release their third and upcoming album Footsteps on January 11, 2011, the band is celebrating the release with a Tuesday night residency at acclaimed Los Angeles venue The Echo for the entire month of January. On January 4, 11, 18 and 25 the band will be playing for free (21+, $5 for 18+) with different support on each date.
