AMOS LEE TO PERFORM AT THE 10TH ANNUAL BONNAROO MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL ON JUNE 12TH, 2011

LEE TO APPEAR ON THE LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN TONIGHT AND THE EARLY SHOW ON FRIDAY; PERFORMANCE ON NPR’S “WORLD CAFÉ” WILL RE-AIR ON FEBRUARY 21ST

“WINDOWS ARE ROLLED DOWN,” FIRST SINGLE FROM LEE’S NO. 1 ALBUM MISSION BELL, IS STILL CLIMBING THE AAA RADIO CHART

February 16th, 2011 — New York, NY — Not long after wrapping a spring headlining tour in support of his No. 1 album Mission Bell, and performing on the Gentilly Stage at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 30th, Blue Note recording artist Amos Lee will appear at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival’s 10th anniversary gathering on June 12th, 2011, in Manchester, TN.

Lee recently completed the first half of his 2011 U.S. headlining tour in support of Mission Bell. In early March, he will head to Europe for a string of dates, including sold-out shows in Holland, France, and the U.K. The U.S. tour resumes on March 24th in Minneapolis, and includes a performance for NPR’s Mountain Stage live music program, broadcast from Charleston, West Virginia, on April 24th. All upcoming tour dates are below.

During Lee’s January 27th show at The Music Box in Los Angeles, singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams joined Lee onstage for a duet on “Clear Blue Eyes.” Williams is featured on the song, which appears on Mission Bell. Watch Lee and Williams’ duet on “Clear Blue Eyes”

Released on January 25th, Mission Bell debuted atop the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, earning the Philadelphia-born singer-songwriter the highest chart position and best sales week of his career. The album also debuted at No. 1 on the Digital Albums and No. 2 on the Internet chart. Mission Bell’s first single, “Windows Are Rolled Down” is currently No. 7 at AAA radio and has been on the chart for 12 weeks with airplay on more than 80 stations, more than any other current single at the format.

Lee will perform on The Late Show With David Letterman tonight, February 16th, and on The Early Show on this Friday, February 18th. In recent weeks, Lee has also made appearances on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and Tavis Smiley, as well as on NPR’s “All Things Considered” and “World Café.” Lee’s well-received “World Café” interview and performance will re-air on local stations nationwide on February 21st.

Produced by Calexico’s Joey Burns, Mission Bell is Lee’s richest and most fully formed recording to date, displaying an array of emotions unified by his eclectic taste and distinctive vocals. With a remarkable set of guests — including Lucinda Williams, Willie Nelson, Iron & Wine’s Sam Beam, Priscilla Ahn, Pieta Brown, and James Gadson — and the musical backing of Calexico, the album marks the arrival of Lee as a mature artist who continues to explore his musical and thematic interests.
