“Tiny Animals are all about penning melodies that stick in your noggin like a pitchfork that you just can’t break free from.” – All Music Guide

New York City power-pop trio Tiny Animals have a reputation, as American Songwriter put it, for leaving folks “head over heels in love.” With prominent placements on popular television shows like MTV’s Jersey Shore, Teen Mom 2 and The Real World, it’s clear that Tiny Animals offer what the Washington Post Express called “unapologetically hooky mainstream-friendly rock.”

Now the band is ready to let the music do some talking. Tiny Animals (husband & wife, Chris & Rita Howerton, on guitar & drums respectively, and bassist Anton Kriesi) announce the release of their second long player, Our Own Time, on April 5 via the North Street label. Beginning April 4, for a whole week, AOL Spinner will be featuring the entire album with a listening party. And if that’s not enough, Friends Or Enemies will be featuring the adorable artsy video for the album’s focus track, “Wait For Me.” The video is directed by Richard Giannotti (who also directed Tiny Animals’ video for “Useless” off their debut album), animated by Michael Ferraro and his team at CUNY, and includes artwork by Casey Matthews.

Two special gigs will be taking place to help celebrate the birth of this new album – April 9 will see the band take the stage at Pianos in NYC for an official album release party. And on May 4, the band will make their debut on the west coast, in Los Angeles, at the Hotel Café. There will be much more to come so stay tuned, and fall head over heels!

Show Dates:

April 9 – Pianos, NYC (10:00PM)
May 4 – Hotel Café, Los Angeles (7:00PM)
