Dynamite Walls – Sing Out Loud video

Dynamite Walls – Sing Out Loud video

oday Propertyofzack.com premieres the new music video from San Diego’s Dynamite Walls. The video is for the brand new track “Sing Out Loud,” which came about organically a few weeks ago. Frontman Tom Pritchard met up with an old friend, Mark Kiczula, to just jam and hang out. After writing a few melodies, he came up with the idea to write a song about his daily life since, “That seems to work with hip hop!” says Pritchard. After which, “the song wrote itself.”

With the video, they wanted to capture their corner of the planet (Encinitas, San Diego, CA), with a feel for the sunshine and California girls that make the place so iconic. The video was shot by the band’s friend, up-and-coming videographer Dan Liffick. It was filmed at three locations: Pritchard’s house, down the street at The Saloon, and at a local all-ages venue, the Epicentre. The video is a genuine reflection of the lifestyle in Encinitas, CA through the eyes of Dynamite Walls and only cost them the price of the keg!

Dynamite Walls is a five-piece indie rock band out of sunny San Diego, CA who was recently signed to Universal Republic after four years of hard work, three EPs, two full-lengths, and a US tour with Jukebox the Ghost. The band has received recognition in their home town, boasting Best Pop Band at the 2010 San Diego Music Awards. Dynamite Walls was described by NBC San Diego as, “an indie, alternative rock sound, likened to INXS or Coldplay, only bolder with a delightfully rancorous edge.”

Morbid Angel Returns With First Album In 15 Years

MORBID ANGEL RETURNS WITH FIRST ALBUM IN FIFTEEN YEARS
FEATURING ORIGINAL TEAM OF TREY AZAGTHOTH AND DAVID VINCENT

ILLUD DIVINUM INSANUS TO BE RELEASED BY SEASON OF MIST JUNE 7, 2011

BAND ANNOUNCES OVERSEAS DATES WITH U.S. TOUR IN CONVERSATION

Florida — After a fifteen year hiatus from recording together, original Morbid Angel members Trey Azagthoth and David Vincent return with Illud Divinum Insanus on June 7. Drummer Pete Sandoval is recuperating from a back injury, with Tim Yeung now behind the kit. Over the past five years, Morbid Angel has been conquering stages across the world, and a return to the studio was inevitable. Vincent shares, “We’ve been told that this is one of the most anticipated recordings and we pulled out all the stops and pushed things to a new level. This is exciting!” The line-up is rounded out by the highly accomplished Norwegian guitarist Destructhor, who has been with the band for over five years, and performs on Illud Divinum Insanus alongside Azagthoth.

The track listing for the forthcoming album is: “Omni Potens,” “Too Extreme!,” “Existo Vulgore,” “Blades for Baal,” “I Am Morbid,” “10 More Dead,” “Destructos VS the Earth / Attack,” “Nevermore,” “Beauty Meets Beast,” “Radikult,” “Profundis – Mea Culpa.”

The career of Morbid Angel is simply iconic in status. The line-up has changed multiple times through the years, but with 2011 comes a return of the original duo of David Vincent (Vocals, Bass) and Trey Azagthoth (Guitars). Since the band’s formation in 1984, and their true rise through Altars of Madness (1989), the band unleashed a new level of extreme music on the Earth’s consciousness. Blessed Are The Sick (1991), considered by many to be a true musical masterpiece, Covenant (1993) the first major label release from a death metal band, and Domination (1995), display living proof that creativity does not have to meet conformity in order to achieve commercial success. The live album Entangled In Chaos (1996) followed, as did the departure of vocalist / bassist Vincent. An Azagthoth-led Morbid Angel recorded three great albums in Vincent’s absence – Formulas Fatal to the Flesh (1997), Gateways to Annihilation (2000), and Heretic (2003) continued to feed the fan base and cement the band’s notoriety in the pantheon of Metal.” Over the past five years, an Azagthoth / Vincent led Morbid Angel has been performing in South America and Europe, reclaiming a place high atop the pedestal of extreme music.

Morbid Angel has plans to tour the globe in 2011. An excursion across The United States is in discussion, and the following appearances overseas have been confirmed:

Jill Andrews Summer Tour With JD Souther

JILL ANDREWS ANNOUNCES SUMMER TOUR WITH JD SOUTHER NEW ALBUM THE MIRROR OUT JUNE 7TH

Jill Andrews will head out on a month long North American tour in direct support for acclaimed singer, songwriter and musician JD Souther. The tour kicks off June 12th in Carrboro, NC with stops along the way in New York, Philadelphia, and Boston (complete list of tour dates below).

Performing songs off her debut, The Mirror is set for release on indie label Thirty Tigers on June 7th, and will showcase Andrews’ beguiling voice and intimate lyrics.

Recorded with Scott Solter (Superchunk, The Crooked Jades) in North Carolina and Neilson Hubbard (Glen Phillips, Matthew Perryman Jones) in Nashville, The Mirror nudges Andrews’ folksy roots into an effortless, classic-pop sensibility and keen eye for human drama.

Much of the new album’s production cost was aided by fan contributions via Kickstarter. You can download the disc’s title track now on her website, as well as check out her EPK here: www.jillandrews.com. A video is currently in the works for lead track, “The Mirror” and will be impacting radio in May.

Hailing from Knoxville, TN, Andrews spent five years touring with her band The Everybodyfields. A rock-solid front woman in sundresses and Frye boots, now, Andrews’ voice is accompanied by tender piano, shuffling drums and searing electric guitar to support her careful acoustic picking. Wherever she plays, Andrews offers up a vision of herself as a singular, quickly maturing artist with the power to cross lines of genre and geography, taste and time. She is a force-and a voice-to be reckoned with.

About JD Souther: Widely recognized as one of the principal architects of the Southern California country-rock sound, Souther played a key role in the formation of the Eagles, co-writing many of their hit songs. His forthcoming album, Natural History, will be released May 31 on eOne Music. Virginia-based songwriter Meredith Bragg has announced the release of his forthcoming full-length album entitled, Nest. Out on July 19, this will be Meredith’s fourth release with The Kora Records. Previously supported by longtime backing band the Terminals the chamber-pop artist has been compared to the likes of Ben Gibbard, and Elliott Smith.

In Nest, Meredith pulls from a stream of inspirations including John James Audubon (“Birds of North America”) and Renaissance architecture (“The Last Hours of Brunelleschi”), but his biggest influence was the recent birth of his daughter, and the themes of parenthood (although initially unintended) are ever present throughout the album. Teaming up with long time collaborator and producer Chad Clark (Dismemberment Plan, Georgie James, Beauty Pill), Nest also finds Meredith extending his sonic palette from the self-restrained single guitar of his sophomore record Silver Sonya to a larger handful of musicians, instruments and digital experimentation. The result is his most engaging and expansive record to date.

1. Second Golden Age
2. Barking Dogs
3. Arrowstork
4. Civilians
5. Birds of North America
6. Point, Line and Plane
7. Lightning Tree
8. Next Time

“…Stunningly distinctive…pummeling…rip-roaring…Sensible would approve!”
– Jack Rabid, Big Takeover Magazine

On Tuesday, May 3, No Future: A Tribute To The Sex Pistols, the Clash, the Damned will be released by UK label Released Emotions, and distributed in the US by E1.

There are 18 tracks on the album, with 6 tracks each dedicated to the Pistols, the Clash and the Damned. All the bands were tasked with providing covers of a high standard. Expectations were high, and yet the artists managed to create something new & radically different.
