With an overwhelming response, Sondre’s new album will be Amazon’s “Deal Of The Day” on June 7th and radio stations across the country are jumping on first single “Private Caller.” In addition, Sondre will perform on KEXP, KCRW, KFOG and WNKU, among others, throughout June. Stay tuned for more details.
An artist The Los Angeles Times calls “one of the most talented names in contemporary pop” with “a live performance that should not be missed” Sondre is extremely excited to hit the road and premiere his new songs.
To get fans excited for the upcoming dates, Sondre is streaming single “Private Caller” and new song “Domino.” Links below (approved to embed).
The official video for “Private Caller” premiered on Stereogum last week. Check it out here: http://stereogum.com/712392/sondre-lerche-private-caller-video-stereogum-premiere/video/
Along with Rolling Stone, Spin Magazine, Elle, USA Today, BlackBook, Redbook, Filter, Paste and countless others, early praise comes from Bust Magazine who raves, “Sondre is at his hook-heavy best here, stripping each melody to its barest bone. Will 2011 be the year of Sondre Lerche? Here’s hoping.” NY Magazine adds SONDRE LERCHE is “worth the wait. On the self-titled release, the follow-up to 2009’s wonderful Heartbeat Radio, Lerche trades sonic variety for candid directness, maintaining throughout his knack for sweet, hummable melodies.”
Not only can fans hear new songs below but one can also listen to an intimate session Sondre recently did with Daytrotter, which drew rave reviews. “He’s a writer who’s able to nimbly tackle the worrisome questions that we all have, spinning them into golden streamers, pieces that we’d enjoy listening to as the antidote to all that ails us … He’s a popsmith with enough pure genius and innovation in his arrangements and melodies to confuse the matter – of not knowing what’s supposed to be bringing us down or cheering us up. He’s not just another pretty song songwriter. He’s a modern day Burt Bacharach, whose raindrops aren’t causing any depression.”
