VIDEO: “Ask Me” (Demo Version)

The Blow

Summer 2011: THE BLOW “Ask Me (demo version)” is a video made by Melissa Dyne and Khaela Maricich. The song in the video, “Ask Me (demo version)”, is a demo for the upcoming album by The Blow. This video is the first of a series of videos to be released this summer based on inspiration for the album and the scope of experimentation in live performance during the upcoming tour.

The Blow will be touring the continental United States this summer, crossing from the swampy depths of Miami across the Texan dustbowl all the way out to the synthetic oasis of Las Vegas. The tour is a continuation of the collaboration between The Blow’s Khaela Maricich and installation/conceptual/sound artist Melissa Dyne. Currently at work on a full length album, The Blow will head out across the states armed with a fistful of new songs to try out on live audiences. These new tools will be thrown into the mix with the experimentations that have already been at work in the recent series of The Blow shows, including manipulation of of light, accoustics and spatial phenomena, narrative performance elements, and the collaborative exploration of what can happen with a room full of people.
