MANCHESTER ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCE BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO SERIES FOR EVERY SONG ON NEW ALBUM FIRST VIDEO \u201cTHE ONLY ONE\u201d TO PREMIERE ON ABSOLUTEPUNK.NET<\/a> ON MARCH 11th<\/p>\n

Manchester Orchestra and Favorite Gentlemen\/Canvasback Music are proud to announce the premiere of Manchester Orchestra\u2019s new video for \u201cThe Only One.\u201d Beginning on March 11th, a new chapter will debut for each song on their highly anticipated forthcoming record, Mean Everything To Nothing. The videos will premiere on a different website leading up to and after the April 21st street date.<\/p>\n

The full-album series concept was conceived by the Emmy Award winning directing team of Clay Lipsky and Jason Bognacki of Destroy Rock Music Inc., whom also directed \u201cI Can Barely Breathe\u201d from the band\u2019s debut I\u2019m Like a Virgin Losing a Child. The first video for the song \u201cThe Only One\u201d explores the themes of love, loss, joy, and pain that the band\u2019s music is so well known for. Lipsky notes that the vision behind the video was to \u201ccreate a cinematic collage of decaying film and lost memories intertwined with a loose narrative about a young woman on a surreal journey to find what she is missing.\u201d The videos to follow will continue to discover the many layers hiding within the new record.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe grainy, dusty nature behind the look of the individual clips allows them to demonstrate a very unique way of storytelling,\u201d says Lipsky. \u201cThe grunge and grit of aging films is both aesthetically beautiful, but also compelling as a window into generations of lost memories.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked about the undertaking of creating the 11 visual elements needed to pull off the series, Destroy Rock Music responded by saying: \u201cManchester Orchestra, their management team and record label have been great supporters of our artist endeavors. When \u2018I Can Barely Breathe\u2019 was well received, it helped create an open creative dialogue about our ideas and capabilities. When approached with the opportunity to interpret the entire album, we jumped at the chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Manchester Orchestra has confirmed a headlining US Spring Tour beginning on the day of the record\u2019s release.<\/p>\n
