San Francisco, CA, September 5, 2007 – Getting ready to debut his freshman release, the Inland Empire’s own Knuckles has already taken Europe and Asia by storm and is ready to do the same here in the States, with the release of What It Is.
As a kid, Knuckles dreamed of making it big in the music business. Growing up in the I.E. (Inland Empire) section of Southern California, Knuckles saw artists from surrounding areas such as Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre gain success and realized that with his talent, his rap dreams were attainable. Knuckles wanted to stand out from the rest of the hip hop artists in the industry. He knew he could achieve greatness if he kept it real and spoke from his heart, he wanted to send a positive message about hip hop with his sound and lyrics. On “They don’t know”, Knuckles rhymes, “You can stimulate your mind and be who you want to be”. His sound and those lyrics have already received rave reviews overseas; audiences in Japan, Germany and other parts of Europe have stood up and taken notice.
What It Is will be Knuckles first album release and boasts beats from notable producers Fingerz and C-Note who have also lent their talents to Lil Rob and Mr. Capone-e. The first single off the album will be “They Don’t Know”, with a follow up of “Beautiful Girl”, which has already started climbing the charts in Europe. His talents have not gone unnoticed, he recently performed with fellow California natives, E-40 and Too Short as well as Paul Wall.
Knuckles has only begun his musical climb, with dedication and hard work, he will soon show that he deserves to be on top!
