FROM BEST NEW ARTIST NOMINEE TO THE BIG SCREEN LEDISI PERFORMS IN GEORGE CLOONEY’S LEATHERHEADS AND SONG FEATURED IN TYLER PERRY’S MEET THE BROWNS
Two-time GRAMMY nominee Ledisi has already won over music lovers and is ready to hit the big screen. Though her live shows often bring audiences to tears leading one Billboard.com critic to call them a “religious experience”, it’s the uplifting R&B hit single “Alright” that is featured on the soundtrack and in the comedy by Tyler Perry, Meet The Browns (opening 3/21).

On March 31st, Ledisi will perform at the Los Angeles premiere for George Clooney’s new football comedy Leatherheads (opening 4/4), a film she also has a small acting role in. She recently told People Magazine, “He hand picked me… I play a blues singer in this ’20s speakeasy. He really knows jazz. And he was funny and cute in person. Oh girl, hot!” Ledisi’s version of “The Man I Love” by the Gershwins also appears on the film’s soundtrack.
