ABANDONED NATION ANNOUNCES MR. MECCA DEBUT SINGLE “SWAGGER”

Abandoned Nation, founded by well-known lyricist Saigon, welcomes a new emcee to the hip-hop ranks. Mr. Mecca joins the Abandoned Nation family and releases the much-anticipated debut single, Swagger.

Malik Rashawn, Jamaica, Queens-native, also known as Mr. Mecca, made a name for himself in the underground New York hip-hop scene not only as a formidable battle emcee but also as a live performer commanding stages and captivating audiences in various venues throughout the metropolis.

Mecca teamed up with German producer Croup to create his upcoming debut album Last Exit with the popular single Swagger, as the first peek into the arsenal of beats and lyrics that are expected to explode onto the music scene. This single undoubtedly brings a new style and energy to the hip-hop stage.

“I just talk about real life on some real topic shit. We ain’t all thugs,” says Mecca. “I’ve punched many people in the face and never sold a drug in my life. I’ve seen the hardest gangstas laugh their asses off and eat cereal. Nobody is grinding it out 24 hours a day. There are other parts of the hood besides that and if you let me, I’ll show you.”
