GRAMMY WINNER T-PAIN TO PERFORM MYSPACE MUSIC RELEASE SHOW AT THE HIRO BALLROOM IN NEW YORK CITY ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10 SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCE BY LUDACRIS
NEW ALBUM “THR33 RINGZ” IN STORES AND ONLINE NOVEMBER 11 ON NAPPY BOY/KONVICT/JIVE RECORDS
MySpace Music is proud to announce that Grammy award winner T-Pain will be performing a free show for his MySpace friends at the Hiro Ballroom in New York City on Monday, November 10, 2008 – a show being powered by AT&T. Admittance for the 21+ show will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9 p.m. with the performance starting immediately after. The evening will include a special appearance by Ludacris.
T-Pain, who recently racked up eight trophies at the BMI Urban Awards, including Songwriter and Producer of the Year honors, will be celebrating the November 11th release of his highly anticipated new album, THR33 RINGZ. Praised by Rolling Stone as the album that “sets T-Pain apart from the rest,” the much-buzzed-about disc includes breakout lead single “Can’t Believe It” (featuring Lil Wayne), which hit No. 1 at Urban radio and No. 2 at Rhythm X-Over and sold more than a half-million digital copies in nine weeks, and follow-up hit “Chopped & Skrewed” (featuring Ludacris), which is already rocketing up the charts at urban radio. The star-studded THR33 RINGZ also features appearances by Chris Brown, TI, Kanye West, Ciara and Akon, among others, and follows 2005’s Rappa Ternt Sanga and 2007’s Epiphany, both certified gold thanks to hit singles “I’m N Luv (Wit A Stripper)” and “Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin’).” T-Pain’s bright, polished arrangements have become the in-demand sound across genres, and his scene-stealing vocal performances are among the most coveted in music. As recently pointed out in Billboard, over the course of the past two years, T-Pain has enjoyed 27 top 10 songs collectively on the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Charts. Few people can accurately say they’ve changed the course of music; count T-Pain among that short list.
