“…Anthems for husky straight dudes who aren’t ashamed to dance” – SPIN

“The Presets jump back on the dancefloor and aim for the cosmos with their latest. “Yippyo-yay’ and “My People” will light up the night” – XLR8R

“Presets dont just make electronic dance music… They throw a lot of heavy musical content into the stew, seemingly at times to convey that they’re capable of being “serious” musicians- not that that kills the joy…” – LA WEEKLY

“(The Presets) throw down fists full of bouncing beats… Shiny as silver ink, tracks such as ‘Kicking and Screaming’ and ‘My People’ celebrate diversity and dancing.” – Chicago Free Press

“I’ve seen plenty of concerts in my 36 years on earth – and my 21 years as a music writer – so please forgive my sincere hyperbole here: Last night I may very well have experienced the hottest show of my life.” – Just Out

“The Presets revel in the darker, more cosmic realm of dance music while still having fun and involuntarily getting people in the mood to move. There’s also punk and new wave elements, but just dont call them “indietronica”. – Rolling Stone

“Apocalypse WOW! – a sold-out sea of fist-pumping, the music off of the Presets’ most recent album Apocalypso inspiring dance moves from the most complacent of hipsters.” – Blackbook

“Compelling evidence that their famed live act translates to the recorded medium. The Presets are a beauty.” – MIX MAG

“An electrifying set… The crowd’s frivolous dancing and singalong was no shock in this case: absurdly catchy tracks extracted from the duo’s latest album Apocalypso intensified as well as delighted.” – Big Shot

“…fist pumping, bass throbbing set that coerced the crowd into gleeful, pseudo-violent dancing.” –
The Eagle.

“Apocalypso could thrust The Presets to mainstream success” – The Edge

“Imagine Depeche Mode circa Violator with a twist of Pet Shop Boys’ pop purity” – Anthem

“The Presets lead the wave of Aussie dance music” – AM New York

“Apocalypso is not lacking in singles, led by the lush and gorgeous “this Boy’s In Love”, the shades-of-Devopodium-pounding of “My People” and the rocker “Talk Like That” – Minneapolis Tribune.

“Having created major inroads in their homeland, The Presets are poised to gain similar recognition Stateside and beyond…” AOL Music

“The best sound set-up we’ve ever experienced!” – DC-ist.

“the Presets had a strong outing, with a minimalist drums-and-synth setup providing a big return on party noir.” LA Times.

“Their set wonderfully straddles the line between a traditional rock show and DJ set… the entire venue dashed and jumped around like, well, ravers in a friendly mosh pit.” URB

It’s certainly been quite a year for frontman Julian Hamilton and beats-master Kim Moyes, collectively known as groundbreaking Aussie electro popsmiths The Presets.

Not only sweeping the ARIAS this year but also recently capping it all off in the most exemplary fashion imaginable with their winning of the 2008 J Award for Album Of The Year. With this nod, The Presets have joined an impressive list of legends alongside previous winners Wolfmother.

Apocalypso has gone onto to achieve Double Platinum (140,000) sales in their native country and the album continues to go from strength to strength in other territories. Since their last sold out tour with labelmates Cut Copy, they’ve now been catapulted into the US pop spotlight, gaining critical acclaim for both their studio and live performances, endlessly recruiting diehard fans from East, West and even the deep, deep South – Now’s your chance to catch them in the States again, for the lads are set to return on a nationwide headlining tour this Spring (support TBA), so be sure to catch their spectacular live set in a venue near you.

Also, be sure to look out for a special Collectors Deluxe Edition of Apocalypso, due for release in the US and featuring remixes by D.I.M, Lifelike, Jence” Moelle (Digitalism), Dave Spoon, Felix, Optimo and Miami Horror.
