Pigeon John and Flynn Adam Are… ROOTBEER!
Debut EP out March 10th / West Coast Tour Through March
You already know Rootbeer. The group is the latest concoction from West coast indie-hip-hop artists Pigeon John and Flynn Adam. Both have achieved solo success – Pigeon with his … and the Summertime Pool Party and Sings the Blues albums, the first of which reached #1 on the CMJ Hip Hop chart – and Flynn Adam as a member of the LA Symphony crew and as a producer working alongside the likes of The Black Eyed Peas, Will.I.Am, Mario C, Prince Paul, Madlib, and more.
Now the two have joined forces for The Pink Limousine EP, a five song release they describe as “MGMT injected with some N.E.R.D. and A Tribe Called Quest,” which nearly captures the infectious bounce of the title track (already making waves on LA’s tastemaker alternative channel, KCRW) or the swagger of EP opener “Girlies.” The Pink Limousine EP hits stores on March 10th, just days before Rootbeer hit the road for a month long west coast stint.

What the Press is Saying:
“There’s not just skill and bump in this music, there’s fun in it. Remember when everyone was so shocked at how much they liked Andre 3000 being ridiculous and brilliant at once? He’s got company.” – Music for Robots
“… are you kidding me??? Nuts, man. Wow. The beat of “Pink Limousine” woke up my 11 year old Golden Retriever. He sleeps through earthquakes.” – Dan Wilcox, KCRW
“Rootbeer is great. I saw them at the Knitting Factory show. Amazing. They are going to be huge.” – Jordan Morris, FUEL TV
“Rootbeer seems to have tapped into a super hyphy-crunk dance-rap fusion that sticks to the Pigeon model of having fun… Their chemistry on stage is natural and energetic, with splices of old school dance moves and tag team verses reminiscent of RUN DMC.” – A. Landen, Loudvine.com
