RAEKWON/ICEWATER AFFILIATE PHIL ANASTASIA RELEASING DEBUT ALBUM, “THE OUTFIT LP”, ON CHAMBERMUSIK RECORDS ON MAY 5th, 2009.

Phil Anastasia is the answer to the monotony and “sameness” of today’s music. Born in Brooklyn, now living in Staten Island, this native New Yorker started his own independent D.I.Y. label, Suga Shack Entertainment, which muscled out two major mix tapes, featuring everyone from Raekwon the Chef to Busta Rhymes, and everyone in between. He managed to have a classic video not only aired but was a weekly feature on Ralph McDaniel’s’ TV Show Video Music Box. He went on to become a featured artist on tour with Raekwon (Wu-Tang), and has been rolling with that team ever since.

Creating a fresh sound, which harkens back to Hip-Hop’s golden era; but unlike so many of today’s young artists, he chooses to blend it with a heavy modern Rock sensibility, as opposed to the now familiar “hipster” version of such. But like his generation’s compatriots, Phil finds himself most moved and inspired by rap music of the early 1990s. The aim of Phil and his crew, The Outfit, is to raise the bar for standards of the music industry’s products. Phil’s hard rhymes and distinctive voice mixed with the speaker bumping, pulse pounding, hypnotic beats of P version: the King make for a formula that is undeniable.

He has joined up with some of NYC’s finest emcees for his new album The Outfit LP. This album is a testament to the lost fundamentals of art through music with a fresh outlook. With high concept rap/rock crossover production from P Version, this album is a well-produced banger, featuring a great line of guest stars. Features include: Wu-Tang Clan’s Inspectah Deck, Raekwon, Cappadonna, Shyheim, and Street Life, Boot Camp Clik’s Sean Price (Heltah Skeltah) and Rock (Heltah Skeltah), rounded out by Phil’s own crew, “The Outfit”,which features King Just (Mystic of the God), Lounge-Lo (Wu-Tang), Dyverse The First, Rahsaan, Dark Skinned Assassin (Split Personali-D, Chambermusik Records) and The Last American B-Boy.
