Villains Are Coming….With DJ Sets and New Releases

“Villains are an L.A. party machine.” – VICE

LA beat conductors Villains are making quite a stir in the club-banger scene with their killer tracks and remixes, spreading their noise from underground to the mainstream. This production/DJ duo consisting of Mad V and Koncept met back in 2002 and after years of appreciating one another’s production style decided to team up, hit the studio and craft some beats together. Just a few months of churning out bootleg remixes and some original tracks they started receiving requests to DJ the world over. Villains have come a long way in a short amount of time with high profile official remixes of Britney Spears (the highest selling remix on iTunes off the Circus Remix EP), Lykke Li and Bloc Party. They released their first EP “Birth” this past February and are set to release more dancefloor-wrecking original tracks after playing a handful of Canadian dates, a two week tour of OZ, and select festivals on the west coast including…

“Villains are so very sinister. Already churning out solid original productions, Villains are proving to be viable contenders in the electro scene even at this early stage. This is dangerous stuff, folks.” – Missing Toof

“L.A. remix duo extracts a few key slivers from Michael Jackson’s disco-werewolf epic and creates a blissfully stuttery electro-funk strut that Daft Punk should snap up anon.” – Spin’s Song You Need To Download Now (“Thrilla”)

“This is the best remix of ‘Little Bit’ we’ve heard. It’s smooth and has all the wamp factor we all love, but it also proves that you can make a remix that sounds like it was meant to be the original. And sometimes you can make it better.” – Culture of Me

“Chock-full of choppy guitar licks and sampled strings that recall the golden age of disco (Chic) and the golden age of nouveau disco (Daft Punk) as well as hands-in-the-air house choruses, trebly basslines worthy of New Order and fuzzy, speaker-quaking electro riffs.” – Guardian (UK)
